AHS, approves and certifies both the Blesser and the plant. AHS assures you that all poultry and red meats which carry the AHS label or certificate were blessed by a Muslim stating Tasmiyya and Takbir according to Islamic Rites. During these rites the animals are slaughtered according to Islam by means of a sharp knife: cutting through the skin, trachea, esophagus and major blood arteries to result in thorough bleeding of the carcass in preparation for dressing and evisceration. The meat has not been mixed with other species or other types of meat. The animals were examined before slaughter and immediately thereafter by a USDA inspector and were found free of diseases and are suitable for Muslim consumption.
